A substantial 19th-century steel engraving of The Marriage of Pocahontas, depicting Pocahontas and John Rolfe at their 1614 wedding. The detailed black-and-white historical scene was created by American artist Henry Brueckner and engraved and published by John C. McRae of New York, circa 1855. The engraving is presented behind a custom-cut mat with openings at the lower title area, in a vintage wood frame with a gilt liner. At over 45 inches wide, it makes a striking statement piece for a study, library, office, or Americana-inspired interior. Overall size: 45.25 in. wide x 33.5 in. high Condition: Pre-owned in good condition with moderate sun fading and age toning to the engraving. The title lettering within the mat openings is significantly faded. Vintage wood frame and matting show age; kraft paper backing is torn and aged.
